Why Choose CHEF?
We are a boutique end-to-end video and film equipment hire company based in greater and central London. We were originally conceived as a digital production company delivering video content to independent and global brands. With this as our backbone, we understand first-hand the importance of having the right equipment when you need it most.
Some of Our Clients
Whilst we do love food and have had our fair share of foodie content creation, our main focus has been ‘saucing’ the correct ingredients that define each project, leaving your visual taste buds wanting more.
“Cooking is like an art or writing a song. Just as there are only so many notes or colours, there are only so many flavours. It’s how you combine them that sets you apart.”– Wolfgang Puck
From this we drew many comparisons to our company. Our end-to-end services are essentially a blend of many notes and flavours. Providing Equipment (Choosing our ingredients). Shooting (cooking and curating), Editing (cutting and chopping), and serving up a lean finished project. And we like to think that we at Chef’s are good cooks.
Over the past ten years Aymen has been working as a self-shooting director, production manager and editor across the industry. His style would best be described as filmmaking for the future – a concept that approaches video content as high paced, high quality and exciting, whilst celebrating the values of classic cinematography. In 2017 Aymen launched a video production company called Studio CHEF, which allowed the company to pitch for larger briefs, build diverse production crews and supply equipment.
This inevitably opened the door to supplying and sourcing equipment to Studio CHEF’s own clientele, and working directly with agencies, fulfilling rentals to several multi-national brands such as BBC, Atlantic Records, Adidas, Facebook, RedBull, Barbour International, Jaguar Land Rover, and Spotify. Whilst these brands and names have birthed opportunity for some truly exciting content creation, they have also proved tremendously useful in building a wealth of knowledge and establishing a network of growth. Aymen described what he considered ‘the most valuable asset – understanding what both production companies and independent creators have alike – a need for equipment’. Fast forward 6 years, and Studio Chef Kit hire was born.
